The Innisfil Soccer Club has a new pitch to play on.
Club members officially opened a new office, located at 7328 Yonge Street, Saturday morning. The office, which has been decorated with soccer trophies, photos and memorabilia from European club teams, will help the organization expand in the coming years, says head coach Mark Cristante.
"It gives the club a presence and identity in the community," he said. "It's a brand we didn't have before. Members can come in, see the executive and interact with each other. The members of the club have been responsible for its growth. This office is a product of growth, and the success we continue to have."
The site also includes a giant projection screen, meeting space, and office room for club executives. And, it's located across the street from the outdoor pitches at the Innisfil Recreation Complex, said Cristante.
The Innisfil Soccer Club has opened a new office, which is located at 7328 Yonge Street.
"There's space for meetings, presentations and workshops," he said. "We're looking at changing the office hours.
“We'll be able to accommodate people, and have open houses. We'll be able to educate people about the game; coaches, parents, players and referees." The club is completing successful year. There were about 1,240 members playing this year, and 16 competitive teams. Several teams also finished their seasons in first place, won tournaments and were promoted to higher divisions.
"We're seeing the fruits of our labour," said Cristante. "The most important thing is seeing the quality of play go up in the younger kids. We're able to retain members. People are happy with what we're doing, and buying into the vision of the club."
